    Shimano quality

An essential tool for the chainring fastener on HTii which is very narrow for bite. Make sure to hold it together driven with a socket for torque when using.

    Favourite new tool

I really like this. I bought it to be able to remove a direct-mount (12 sp style) single chainring from a SLX chainset. It works brilliantly and I love the way it can be driven either using the flats (a big spanner or a vice) or with a 'Regular' Hollowtech II spanner. I suspect it will work on XT, XTR and maybe Deore chainsets too. Maybe CUES too?

But then the bonus feature is that it also works on the newer, smaller diameter BSA HTII bottom brackets that started appearing on road bikes a couple of years ago. Previously, one would have to use a weedy nylon adaptor that binds to the HTII tool and is clearly inadequate for a heavy wrenching. The TL-FC41 is the right tool for the job.

Top marks to BikeTart for keen pricing and speedy delivery :-)
