The Santa Cruz 5010 is back for 2023 with an updated frame design.
The 5010 has always been more capable than many expected. But now with the traction-gaining 29-inch wheel up front and more refined suspension, the 5010 gives you an even defter touch on the trails. It's a hugely fun bike with a tonne of pop to make every trail your playground.
Santa Cruz gave the 5010 a very straight, highly progressive leverage curve to give the rider plenty of predictable support, bottom-out resistance, and playful response. This means the travel is accessible and bigger impacts aren’t as jarring as you’d expect from a short-travel bike.
The new 5010 comes with the Glovebox storage facility in the downtube and includes the Tool Wallet and Tube Purse to stash all your ride essentials, whether that's tools and a jacket or a picnic.
The focus of the fifth gen 5010’s geo was to implement mixed wheels in a way that would give the rider a sure-footed experience in challenging terrain without losing touch with its jump-happy, slalom-turn loving tendencies. The bottom bracket height remains where it’s always been on the 5010: close to the ground for maximum cornering fun. Overall slightly longer and size specific chainstay length allows the rider to benefit from the approach angle and grip up front that MX wheels bring without needing to leave the cornering sweet spot for good weight distribution. Our size-specific layup stiffness helps create a consistent ride feel across the size range. Meaning larger riders, on larger sizes get the same snappy, responsive feel from the chassis.
The 5010 Carbon C bike comes in 4 different spec levels from the R-Kit all the way through to the GX AXS Reserve featuring SRAM wireless shifting and carbon wheels.
