Celebrating over two decades of pioneering innovation, Mondraker has cemented its place as one of the most technically advanced and performance-focused mountain bike brands in the world. Born in 2001 from the vision of Paco Sánchez and Miguel Pina, Mondraker was established with a clear goal: to create mountain bikes that surpass expectations and redefine what’s possible on two wheels. Over the years, the brand has revolutionized bike geometry, suspension systems, and material engineering, continually pushing the boundaries of mountain biking.

The Early Years: Bold Vision Meets Innovation

At the turn of the millennium, mountain biking was evolving rapidly, but most bikes of the era were limited by their design—short wheelbases, 26-inch wheels, and rudimentary suspension systems. Recognizing this gap, Mondraker launched its first model, the Petrol, in 2001. This downhill bike was ahead of its time, featuring a robust square-section alloy frame, Horst Link suspension, and adjustable geometry. With riders like Tomás Misser securing wins on the Petrol, Mondraker quickly established its racing pedigree.
By 2003, the brand had introduced the Foxy, their first enduro/all-mountain bike, which set the stage for a new era in versatility and capability. Designed with a 140mm Horst Link suspension, the Foxy became a cornerstone of the Mondraker lineup and showcased their commitment to blending cutting-edge technology with real-world performance.

A Breakthrough in Suspension: The Zero System

Mondraker’s trajectory took a significant leap forward with the introduction of its proprietary Zero Suspension System. Developed with input from World Cup racer César Rojo, the system employs a floating shock design compressed from both ends, providing unparalleled sensitivity, stability, and efficiency. Forward Geometry: A Game-Changer

In 2012, Mondraker once again disrupted industry norms with the introduction of Forward Geometry. XR: The XR is Mondraker's top-tier model, offering the best of the best. RR SL: The RR SL takes the same platform as the RR but with a focus on weight savings. While Mondraker doesn't offer many entry-level bikes, the R series provides a great balance between quality and affordability.
