- The +20mm option includes a 20mm adaptor. Read on to see which option to pick...
Lets Talk Adaptors
SRAM Codes are post mount calipers which is the modern standard. Whether you need an adapter for your desired rotor size is determined by your fork and frame.
Fork - Below are standard rotor sizes for common forks without adaptors added. You can choose the direct mount option for the front and rear brake if you want to run the standard disc size.
- RockShox Pike: 180mm
- RockShox Lyrik: 180mm
- RockShox Zeb: 200mm
- RockShox Boxxer: 200mm
- Fox 34: 160mm
- Fox 36: 180mm
- Fox 38: 180mm
- Fox 40: 200mm
If you want to run a larger disc then you can buy the +20mm option which includes a mount adaptor. For example, if you have a Fox 36 and want to run a 200mm rotor then you'll need to choose the +20mm option. Or, if you have a RockShox Zeb and want to run a 200mm rotor no adaptor is required. If you have a Zeb and want to run a 220mm rotor then buy the +20mm option. If you're unsure just ask us :-)
Frames - Most frames are either 160mm or 180mm as standard for the rear brake. If you need help identifying yours then please give us a shout and we'll be happy to help.
Lets Talk Rotors
If you need to add rotors then we recommend the SRAM HS2 disc brake rotors with the Code. These are slightly thicker and give excellent braking performance. The SRAM Centreline rotors are a cheaper alternative and come standard on many bikes. Non-SRAM rotors are also compatible.
