Description

This special offer on the SRAM Code RSC disc brake is an awesome value braking upgrade for your bike. Codes are so popular because of the combination of power, modulation and control. These are our best-selling mountain bike brakes.

Sold individually - for a pair please chose a front option and a rear option.

Details

  • SRAM Code RSC front brake, 850mm hose length, with pads fitted.
  • SRAM Code RSC rear brake, 1550mm hose length, with pads fitted.
  • SRAM MMX clamp included. This means you can fit your SRAM shifter(s) and/or Reverb dropper remote directly to the clamps if you have them. If you run a Shimano shifter then you can take off the MMX part.
  • SRAM olive and barb included if you need to cut the hoses down further.
  • The brakes are supplied unboxed and in factory packaging.
  • The front brake is fully bled and connected.
  • The rear brake is left un-connected at the lever end for easy routing through your frame. The system has DOT fluid in it and easily connects to the lever once routed for a quicker install.
  • The +20mm option includes a 20mm adaptor. Read on to see which option to pick...

Lets Talk Adaptors

SRAM Codes are post mount calipers which is the modern standard. Whether you need an adapter for your desired rotor size is determined by your fork and frame.

Fork - Below are standard rotor sizes for common forks without adaptors added. You can choose the direct mount option for the front and rear brake if you want to run the standard disc size.

  • RockShox Pike: 180mm
  • RockShox Lyrik: 180mm
  • RockShox Zeb: 200mm
  • RockShox Boxxer: 200mm
  • Fox 34: 160mm
  • Fox 36: 180mm
  • Fox 38: 180mm
  • Fox 40: 200mm

If you want to run a larger disc then you can buy the +20mm option which includes a mount adaptor. For example, if you have a Fox 36 and want to run a 200mm rotor then you'll need to choose the +20mm option. Or, if you have a RockShox Zeb and want to run a 200mm rotor no adaptor is required. If you have a Zeb and want to run a 220mm rotor then buy the +20mm option. If you're unsure just ask us :-)

Frames - Most frames are either 160mm or 180mm as standard for the rear brake. If you need help identifying yours then please give us a shout and we'll be happy to help.

Lets Talk Rotors

If you need to add rotors then we recommend the SRAM HS2 disc brake rotors with the Code. These are slightly thicker and give excellent braking performance. The SRAM Centreline rotors are a cheaper alternative and come standard on many bikes. Non-SRAM rotors are also compatible.

Don't be shy, just go ahead and buy!

I umm'ed and ahh'ed for ages about these brakes wondering "What's the catch?", just couldn't believe I could get Code RSC's for £130. Well the catch is, there is no catch! They come in OEM packaging (bubble wrap bag), well big deal, the boxes go in the bin immediately anyway!

They come with a spare Stealth-a-Majig olive and barb for shortening the hoses, they even come with the MMX plates for mounting your SRAM shifters!

So do yourself a favour, upgrade your braking massively, by getting these brakes and save yourself over £80 by cutting out the box!
